These photos were taken Saturday, January 27 at The Zimmerman Automobile Driving Museum, in El Segundo, where a couple hundred friends and family of Phillip Alan Stadden gathered to celebrate Phil’s life.

Phil was born March 12, 1947, and was taken from us October 21, 2023 after a short bout with prion disease, a disease I had never heard of before, but is apparently always fatal.

Phil was a long time painter of classic cars and motorcycles which resulted in him becoming a member of the Hamsters USA club in 1991. For those unfamiliar, the Hamsters are a motorcycle club that, at least at the time, was made up of the cream of the crop when it came to builders of custom motorcycles.

My relationship with Phil was pretty much a six degrees of Kevin Bacon scenario, and even at his celebration of life yesterday, I learned of even more people that I have been friends with for decades that were also friends of Phil; suffice it to say, Phil had many friends.

Phil is survived by his only son, Jeffrey Alan Stadden, Jeffrey’s wife Shannon, nephews Todd and Trevor Stinson, and his life partner, Linda James.

Rest in Peace, my friend.

These photos were taken Saturday afternoon in Rancho Palos Verdes, where friends and family gathered to celebrate and congratulate Alyson for having graduated the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a BS (Bachelor of Science) in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics; try saying that five times fast.

Alyson was joined by her parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, her boyfriend, and classmates from both high school and college. After taking some time off for herself, she plans on going for her Masters.

Congratulations Alyson, I am sure you will go far. Continue reading

These photos were taken at the Free Food Tasting & Networking event hosted by the United Small Business Alliance and Small Business EXPO at El Pollo Inka in Rolling Hills Estates on Wednesday afternoon.

The event featured a few samples of El Pollo Inka’s Peruvian foods and an opportunity to network with other small business owners. I arrived a little late so the food was a little sparse, but as you can tell by the photos, there was plenty of networking being done.

At Friends POV we got our introduction to event photography by photographing trade shows and their related networking events; whether it is a large party of several thousand or a more intimate venue such as a hotel suite party. Photos are a great way to memorialize your event and Friends POV knows how to take the shots that will remind the attendee of something that happened or a person they met while they were there; and they will make the person that could not attend, feel like they were there.

Friends POV will photograph your networking event and host them for you so everyone has easy access to them. Branding opportunities with your logo on the photos is a great marketing tool that we have personally used for more than 10 years.
